HEIM :
A brunch worth trying! Why? Heim is an ultra-cool coffee shop, with its shared wooden tables and plants that give a cozy atmosphere to the place. This coffee shop is located on a quiet street between Campo de Ourique and Cais do Sobre.
Heim offers brunch essentials, in its own way! Originality and flavors are the key words of this café, with a presentation that is simply magnificent and highly Instagrammable. If I tell you about an avocado toast, with a poached egg served on a pepper puree? Or their mushroom toast with a sweet potato puree that is just too comforting! Yes, yes, YES!!!
And if we didn't stop at just the dishes... their drinks are absolutely successful and addictive, like their freddo cappuccino... with plant milk options available! Anyway, we'll let you go try it out! But I know you'll approve of it as much as I do...
SEAGULL METHOD :
Seagull Méthod is a must-visit brunch café in Lisbon for all coffee and inventive cuisine lovers. Located in the bohemian neighborhood of Bairro Alto, this coffee shop is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious brunch or a light lunch!
The menu at Seagull Méthod features creative and flavorful dishes that highlight fresh and local ingredients. Managed by the same owners as Heim, you'll find avocado toasts, scrambled eggs with sautéed mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, as well as more unique dishes like syrniki pancakes: small, thick pancakes made with cottage cheese, served with pistachio whipped cream and raspberry coulis. It intrigued me, I wanted to taste it, and it was surprising! A little sweet and salty side. The blend of flavors works very well and it was a nice discovery.
But what makes Seagull Méthod so special is its relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. The café is tastefully decorated with wood, exposed red tiles, and green plants, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance.
If you're looking for a unique and inspiring brunch café in Lisbon, don't miss Seagull Méthod. With inventive cuisine, fresh ingredients, and a friendly atmosphere, it's the perfect place to indulge and enjoy a good brunch just the way we like it
COMOBA :
COMOBA is a trendy and relaxed café in Lisbon, located in the lively neighborhood of Cais do Sodré. This café is known for its selection of specialty coffees and delicious snacks, as well as its friendly and lively atmosphere. The COMOBA menu includes a variety of coffees from the best local and international roasters. You can find bold espressos, velvety cappuccinos, and creamy lattes, carefully prepared by passionate baristas. On the food side, COMOBA offers a selection of homemade pastries, with or without gluten. The dishes are generous and carefully crafted: granola bowls or indulgent chia puddings with their homemade and crispy granola accompanied by a pistachio puree and almonds. Their essential fluffy matcha pancakes or Chai latte style... or even scrambled egg burritos, black bean puree, avocado, sweet potato, spinach with a tomatillo salsa.
For my part, I opted for their chia pudding and their carrot cake! Not just any carrot cake, the best of my life! Moist and tender at the same time, with a good taste of cinnamon, topped with a small lemon cream in the center... I think I could come back to Lisbon just for this carrot cake! I even tried to negotiate the recipe but it's top secret...
What more could you dream of?
In terms of decor, it's minimalist, with a large, bright white room decorated with tall plants, evoking Bali vibes, along with an open bar and kitchen! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. If you're looking for a trendy café in Lisbon where you can enjoy good coffee and a dreamy breakfast, COMOBA is the perfect place.
To conclude:
Lisbon has been a true revelation, both for the charm of the city, its tranquility, and what it has to offer, as well as for the discovery of its brunch spots!
I loved each of these addresses and highly recommend anyone to try them out. Each had its own charm, everything I tried was good and well executed, and the prices are unbeatable. If you're in Lisbon and looking for a delicious brunch, you can't go wrong with Comoba, Seagull Method, or Heim.
Of course, I also tried the iconic Pastel de Belém...
